Starter Package
If you know very little about your family or are unsure how to start researching then this package will offer you an introduction into genealogical research. It provides an overview of up to four generations of your family starting from yourself or any other relative born in the twentieth century and focuses on the births, marriage and deaths of one couple.
The starter package may be useful to kick start your own research or it can be used to later extend your research into one of the surname packages at a reduced rate.
The starter package includes:
A digital research report
Details of the sources examined
Copies of the birth, marriage and death certificates for one couple, up to a maximum of five certificates
Copies of relevant census return
References and transcriptions for all sources used
A chart illustrating the relationships described in the report
The sources used for this package are:
GRO indexes of births, marriages and deaths
Birth, marriage and death certificates
1841-1911 census records
Cost of Starter Package £350
Please note that all Understanding Backwards Genealogical Services Packages assume that GRO birth, marriage and death certificates (if appropriate) are provided for your parents or the parents of your starting person in the twentieth century. If they are not then additional research and certificates (at cost price from the GRO – currently £11.00 per certificate) could be required.
An optional research report professionally printed on archival quality acid-free paper detailing the findings and presented in a presentation folder is available to UK customers for an extra £50.
